The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing the catalyst plant maintenance department in a 24/7 operation, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality maintenance services across all plant units. This role oversees internal technicians and contractors, drives preventative maintenance and asset reliability, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and ISO standards while supporting operational efficiency and strategic partner satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage daily maintenance operations, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation teams, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards, safe work practices, LOTO procedures, and permit systems
  • Oversee work order management, including planning, scheduling, execution, and efficiency tracking
  • Drive equipment reliability through root cause analysis, reliability programs, and preventative maintenance (PM/PDIS)
  • Manage contractor performance to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
  • Provide technical expertise and support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements
  • Lead maintenance shutdowns, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives
  •  Ensure compliance with MOC processes and ISO (9001, 14001, 50001) and Responsible Care standards

REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree preferred OR 2-year technical degree (or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance)
  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Technical expertise in mechanical systems (piping, pumps, motors, seals, bearings, rigging, fabrication)
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices, preventative maintenance, and reliability programs
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to manage teams and contractors
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external/global partners
  • Willingness to be on call and respond to after-hours or weekend emergencies
