Performs specialized maintenance and repair services in either multiple crafts (such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and millwrighting), or in a single craft but with significant, specialized expertise. Has a sound understanding of the maintenance history of the building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance routines.
Support others by performing a range of site maintenance activities.
Help to install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with guidance.
Conduct complex analyses, quality tests and inspections that require a high level of independent judgment.
Develop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards. Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from mandatory procedure.
Follow a range of mandatory procedures and methods of work (including use of personal protection equipment where relevant) to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of oneself and others.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
1–3 years of experience in industrial pipefitting or mechanical maintenance.
Basic proficiency in welding techniques and equipment operation.
Strong understanding of industrial piping systems, including valves and flow control devices.
Ability to read and interpret piping diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Familiarity with SAP or other maintenance tracking systems is preferred.
Knowledge of safety practices, PPE use, and applicable workplace safety standards.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills in industrial settings.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in confined spaces and elevated areas.
Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
