The primary responsibility of this position is to support the production and logistics activities within the Sodium Methylate Plant by production and consumption totals within SAP, managing the Sodium Methylate Railcar fleet, and day-to-day packaging needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for entering and maintaining raw material consumption and production into SAP. This includes several different material numbers. Working with necessary tools and platforms like SAP & IBP.
- Responsible for processing replenishment orders generating batch numbers and label requests. Interact directly with the Supply Chain, Shipping Department, and Customer Service to resolve issues in a timely manner to meet customer requirements.
- Manage production unit’s Railcar Fleet of 110 cars and function as the SPOC for our carriers around fleet maintenance & repair, cleaning, container availability, and invoice payment. Total cost of fleet management is >$600k/yr and position has cost management responsibilities, along with managing demurrage to a minimum level.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and finished products. Coordinate investigation of inventory discrepancies, working with production, supply chain, and logistics personnel for resolution, and the cost accountant to make necessary inventory adjustments in SAP.
- Month end reporting / accounting. Includes creation of variance reports after each campaign and reporting on off-spec inventory.
- Maintains plant records electronically and as necessary in hard copy. This includes production documentation, shipping documentation, and waste generation.
- Create purchase orders and yearly purchase orders for non-stock materials as needed and manage various outline agreements for plant. Plant needs include clothing (Cintas), GATX, Methanol, PT cards, ETC.
- To maintain and update Quality Control within SAP. Task to include releasing methanol railcars, updated quality control profiles in SAP and add new customers into SAP for CofA.
- Setting up sample shipments to customers
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years office experience preferred with background in accounting practices.
- Must be at an advanced skill level in word processing and an intermediate skill level in Excel.
- Must be able to relate in a professional manner to co-workers and outside contacts in person, by telephone, and written correspondence.
- Should have excellent organizational skills and be a self-starter.
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task/prioritize activities.
- Equipment operation: Must be able to operate telephone, calculator, PC, SAP, copy/fax/scanner, label maker, laminator, automobile.
- Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, GoPlant, Microsoft Windows, SAP, IBP
