RESPONSIBILITIES

Instrumentation and Control System Operation:

• Operate and monitor plant instrumentation systems and Distributed Control Systems (DCS, Emerson Delta V) & PLC (Siemens PCS 7) to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the chemical plant.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.
• Perform routine checks and calibrations of instrumentation equipment.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for DCS Emerson Delta V, PLC (Siemens PCS 7) and instrumentation systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, and other instrumentation components.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Closely collaborate with PEs and plants to draft execution plan, estimate budget for daily maintenance work.
• Be responsible for safe execution of daily maintenance and other activities by conducting proper safety measures, such as JSA, trainings, etc. Conduct effective repair/maintenance work to keep the facilities running smoothly
• Conduct plant shutdown maintenance for E&I annually
• Keep developing preventive and predictive maintenance to identify issue earlier and reduce downtime.

Project Support:

• Provide technical support for installation, commissioning, and upgrades of instrumentation and DCS systems. (Emerson Delta V) and PLC (Siemens PCS 7)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering projects and system improvements.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system configurations, and equipment performance.
• Prepare reports on system reliability, maintenance progress, and operational issues. o Maintain and update E&I department document.

Safety, Compliance & Others:

• Ensure all activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Instrumentation Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. and 10 years working experience in instrumentation and DCS (Emerson Delta V), preferably in the chemical or process industry.
• Hands-on experience with DCS systems (Emerson Delta V),ability to implement the MOC/small capex of DCS systems (Emerson Delta V)
• Familiar with PLC (Siemens PCS 7)
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentations and systems, control loops, and process automation.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation field devices & control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level ​training to others.
• Conducts research and analyzes data without supervision while providing technical guidance as needed in order to develop a comprehensive understanding of customer and market conditions that enables maximum return on investments.
