We provide technologies to reduce chloride concentration in the pyrolysis reactor, but even the cleanest pyrolysis oil products may still contain tens of parts per million (ppm) of organic chlorides, posing corrosion risks within petrochemical facilities.
To address this, Evonik is developing a new generation of pyrolysis oil-specific adsorbents. These innovative new adsorbents make it possible to meet even the most stringent chloride specifications required by petrochemical complexes. By working together, we can overcome these challenges and establish pyoil as a viable alternative to fossil naphtha.
