In the Rhine-Main region, one of Europe's most powerful and dynamic economic areas, Evonik operates the Wolfgang Industrial Park in Hanau. 

The site has its roots in the Royal Prussian Gunpowder Factory, founded in 1875, and has been continuously modernized and expanded since then. In its current form, the industrial park has existed since 2001.

Covering an area of 820,000 square meters, the site has developed into a highly efficient production and research center for materials technology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals. A total of eight internationally active companies are based here. Around 3,000 employees work on-site for Evonik Industries.
