Silica for eco-friendly laundry formulations with excellent cleaning performance
Our broad range of silica products with different effects provides the detergent industry with nature-identical ingredients for eco-friendly, microplastic-free and low-dosage laundry products with excellent performance. In liquid detergents, AEROSIL® fumed silica adjusts the flow behavior to achieve excellent pourability. Special silica grades serve as carriers for surfactants, perfume oils, and enzymes. Flow aids are essential when processing, storing and handling laundry powders which tend to cake and stick due to the surfactants they contain. As highly absorptive carriers, SIPERNAT® specialty silica helps to transform liquids or pastes into highly concentrated free flowing powders, while AEROSIL® is a reliable anti-caking aid. Hydrophobic silica grades also serve as defoamers. In single-dose gel pods, silica also serves as a thickener, carrier, stabilizer, and anti-caking agent.
