March 25, 2025
Intersol
This event gives you the opportunity to learn about soil and subsoil, as well as health and environmental risk assessments. You will have the chance to network with researchers and developers. Our expert will present the treatment of contaminants with sequestered residues using the combination of In Situ Stabilization (ISS) and In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO).
ISCO-ISS is a combination of two proven and successful technologies for soil and groundwater remediation: in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) and in situ stabilization and solidification (ISS). These two technologies can be combined in a single application to provide two different mechanisms for combating contaminants.
Our Presentation
Brant Smith will speak on the following topic on March 25 at 2:15 p.m.:
Contaminant treatment with sequestered residuals: combining in situ stabilization (ISS) and in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO)
In French:
Traitement des contaminants avec des résidus confinés: combinaison de la stabilisation in situ (ISS) et de l'oxydation chimique in situ (ISCO)

Practical Considerations for Implementing ISCO-ISS: Bench Testing, Design & Field Implementation
Josephine Molin, Evonik’s ISCO Technology Manager, presents on the combined remedy of In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) and In Situ Solidification & Stabilization (ISS) in a single application. This webinar focuses on the practical aspects of evaluating and implementing ISCO-ISS as a remedy, including tailoring bench testing and design to achieve site specific remedial goals (ISS and/or ISCO targets), implementation methods, limitations, and performance monitoring. Josephine includes several real-world examples to demonstrate key points, to illustrate the effectiveness of this combined remedy, and to indicate the scenarios to which this approach is applicable. This webinar should be relevant to anyone looking to understand more about ISCO-ISS.
