AERODISP® fumed alumina dispersions can be applied as cement- and silica-free binders for refractory castables in applications such as steel ladle lining. They provide a permanent, heat-resistant bond between coarser particles in the refractory material.
AERODSIP® dispersions show an excellent processability in combination with a hardener. The high spalling risk during heat up, well-known from existing cement- and silica free solutions such as hydratable alumina, is eliminated.
