The Challenge
Blocking is a common challenge in polymer film processing and handling. Anti-blocking agents are crucial in most all film applications – from industrial film production and processing all the way down to the end-use.
AEROXIDE® fumed alumina is a highly effective anti-blocking agent in BOPET (biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate) film. Moreover: It improves transparency in optical films in general.

AEROXIDE® fumed alumina improves the dielectric strength and corona resistance of BOPET films. It furthermore improved thermal conductivity and heat dissipation.
AEROXIDE® products can be incorporated in a liquid starting component (monomer/ oligomer) or in a polymer melt by a thermoplastic compounding process.
