AERODISP® based on aluminum oxide significantly improves the stability of the viscosity of ceramic slurry. This results in higher quality consistency and less scrap in casting.
With its small particle size, aluminum oxide in AERODISP® is a good binder for particles of sand. It becomes part of the slurry and provides a permanent bond between the coarser particles after firing of the mold.
AERODISP® increases slurry shelf life to more than two months compared to less than two days observed with common TEOS- and colloidal silica-based binders.
