In plant care formulations, suspension concentrate is the suspension of powdered active ingredients in aqueous solutions. Organic and inorganic thickening agents are widely used, but they do not work well in formulations with high salt concentrations. Evonik’s AEROXIDE® fumed alumina offers the agrochemical industry a smart solution.

AEROXIDE® improves the suspension of powders in plant care formulations: AEROSIL® 200 fumed hydrophilic silica combined with AEROXIDE® Alu C fumed alumina provides a good thickening effect.
The recommended ratio between AEROSIL® 200 and AEROXIDE® Alu C is 10:1 to 5:1.
