Precious Metal Management and Catalyst Recovery

For precious metal catalysts such as NOBLYST®, Evonik operates an integrated precious metal management service. Spent catalysts are sent to a refinery within an established global network, where the precious metal is extracted and processed into precious metal salt solutions that are used in the production of fresh catalysts. Customers are set up with a precious metal weight account, and Evonik coordinates the refining activities, the logistics and the waste notification. Purchase, leasing and sell-and-lease-back models are available for the metal itself.
